I have several stamped envelopes (the stamps are current values), and I'd like to reuse the stamps. Is there a way to get the stamps off the envelopes so that I can reuse them? They have not gone through the postal system and have absolutely no marking on them.

you definately can, i use to collect stamps and basically you just. 1. cut the part of the letter out with the stamp. 2. set that part in a small amt of luke warm water for about 5 to 10 min until the stamp detaches itself from the paper. 3. let it air dry, and once it dries then i guess you can reuse it with some glue.

If you use the cut and paste method, OK. But if you use the cut and tape method, be sure that you don't cover the stamp with tape. Use tape only around the edges of the stamp. The post office will want to be able to cancel the stamps when you do mail them.

Cut them out and use a tiny bit of glue on the next envelope.

Cut out the stamps, and then soak them in water. This will allow you to peel them off the backing of the paper so it won't look so obvious that you're re-using it.

I've done this plenty of times.
