Have calendar on husband's website. I want people to access it and be able to put their names on dates?

The service linked below allows group calendars. I didn't log in to see if a group could edit one calendar, but it seems that is what they have there.

Another option is to have people fill in a form and have an application that edits the calendar you already have.
