Other than buying jewelry cleaner, is there something else that can be used to clean sterling silver with? I know backing soda can be used to polish Brass, so is there something simlilar that can help clean the tarnish off of silver?

Soak them in toothpaste w/whitening and peroxide then clean them with an old toothbrush.

Hydrogen Peroxide works well. If you use this though, do not leave in for extreme amounts of time as this may damage the silver by sometimes discoloring it slightly. Toothpaste will also work sometimes but I recommend the Peroxide.

If it's like a necklace or something, use baking soda and
a little water, gently rub. Use a toothbrush or fingers.

Youll think Im crazy but their is a toilet cleaner that smells like minty and is blue it works amazing on any jewelry/

tooth paste. gently rub on, gently rub off. works miracles. always used crest myself
