This etching also has the Paris Etching Society on the label. It is signed in the bottom right hand corner of the print.

If you google Lecomte you will see that he was a relatively well known painter who studied at the l’Ecole des Beaux-Arts in Paris and won a medal at the Paris Salon in 1902...nothing to sneeze at!

Also, in series of prints like your etchings, the lower the print number, the more valuable the print is, as plate quality declines slightly over multiple uses. The fact that it is signed will also add to the value.

You will not get an accurate value for this piece from Yahoo - you will need to take this print to an art appraiser as they will assess many things about it - the condition, the quality of the work, the authenticity, etc. I would call or visit a local major museum and see if they can point you in the direction of a reputable appraiser. If you are looking to sell it, DEFINITELY get a second opinion on the value first!

This is a very good question! Before Yeshua (Jesus) was killed and went to be with the Father, Paul (Sha'ul) did n o t accept Him. We know this because Paul was persecuting, even killing Christians and believing he was doing the right thing! Paul would certainly have known, at least in part, what Yeshua said and did. He would certaily be aware of what others said about Yeshua (in both camps, as it were). BUT, when he finally met with Yeshua (Jesus), look what happened. He fell for Him hook, line and sinker. Paul was shaken to the core, and from then on lived his life, trying to persuade men and encourage the brethren. This shows me that it was the personal relationship, being born of the Spirit that made all the difference...
