Well, both. Typically, ovulation occurs right in the middle of your cycle. Ovulation, and not your period, is what you should concern yourself with when getting pregnant. Women's bodies vary widely, so it would be wise to buy a ovulation test kit to see when you ovulate... they are available at any drug store or Wal-Mart.

The best days to get pregnant are days 12-16. Day 1 is the first day of your period and you count days from there. So I would say that it is right in the middle.

about 13-15 days from the first day of your period!
