experts say that global warming is what is going to make the world end, there will be floods in many parts of the world, and it is a major issue, that makes me sad and scared.

or could it be that its just a hotter year than normal. For the record, the blackouts weren't a nationwide problem. here in the south, 110 degree days in july are very common, and have been for many years. We did actually, Break a record for highest temp one day. the record was over 100 years old. If global warming was that big of an issue, shouldn't the record have been from last year? Actually, i do beleive in global warming, I just don't beleive that Humans are a serious contributing factor. Scientists tell us that the earth has been through at least 2 ice ages, which tells me that the earths temp has risen, and lowered on more than one occasion, and both of these ice ages occured before man, ever burned the first ounce of petroleum.
by the way, A large part of the problems with the blackouts, is population growth, and non growth of power supply.
Just so you know, one big volcano eruption puts more greenhouse gases in the air in a day, than the entire US can put in the air in years.

First- next time, use the spell checker.
Second- Patterns like this happen all the time in history. This is similar to the hurricane situation. It turns out that every few years, terrible hurricanes are likely to happen, and the same goes for other weather patterns. A sudden outburst of warm days does not suddenly mean Global Warming is a larger problem than before, because Global Warming is a gradual process, not to be seen in just a few days.

There is evidence that rather than gradual changes over 100's of years the climate will suddenly "flip" in a mere few decades. It's happened before. There have been times in the past when the earth was tropical pole to pole. There's no reason it couldn't happen again. A global temperature increase of a mere 2 degrees F represents an unimaginable amount of heat. Consider how much heat it would take to heat a swimming pool by 2 degrees F. Now multiply that by several trillion.

I don't know what you're talking about... Ohio has been pretty cool for about a week. Nothing has been over 85 degrees.
Global warming isn't happening sooner than we thought. I was just a toddler when I was told to conserve energy because the ice caps were going to melt in 1995.
People should just get use to the heat. I've never had to turn on my AC unless there was a storm and I couldn't keep the windows open.
Global warming is happening but later than we thought. Sorry to burst your bubble.

its one of the hottest times of the year people are just being wimps and turning their ac real cold this is causing a sudden draw of energy from power plants and/or transformers, causing them to over work and blow up which leads to blackouts. there has also been these prolems in the winter when it gets really cold and everybody turn their heaters way up. but there are other issues about global warming where it is melting the glaciers, it has been studied that if the glaciers continue to melt at the rate they are today, 40 years from now most of florida will be underwater along with some other ocean bordered states.

I personally don't think global warming is the reason for 100 degree weather. It's desertification and deforestation. Both of these cause global warming, but they also directly affect the weather and the heat. Without an abundance of plants, our weather is no longer as stable as it used to be. Urbanization is the problem; its effects are more readily seen than global warming.

its you
global problem remains less of a problem than predicted
it is silly to pick a few weeks and claim that means we have a new trend
if you flipped a coin three times and got heads every time would you think that the world had changed so that only heads could come up?
there IS global warming
the world IS heating slightly
but only a degree or two in the last 50 years
we have had hot summers before
relax

HERE IN TEXAS IT"S HOT AS HELL (100-107) but not even close to the summer of 1980 so by your standards its GLOBAL COOLING
