When you bid you are legally obligated to complete the deal. Try to work it out with the seller. Buy the item and re list it would be the responsible thing. They can leave you bad feedback at the best possibly sue you if the situation warranted it.

Placing a bid on Ebay is a legally binding contract to purchase an item.
If you do not follow through with the purchase you are breaking the contract and are prosecutable.
Not only can you be sued for damages, but Ebay can also ban you for life.
Don't waste Ebay's and Seller's valuable time and money by bidding on something you are not 100% sure of purchasing.

Even if contractual law was not there, why would you make a promise to somebody and then break your promise?
That is pretty shallow, selfish and disrespectful.

Turn it around and think how you would feel.

Good Luck and Happy Bidding.
Peace

he will probably file a non paying bidder alert after 7 days and then ebay may give you a strike. they have a 3 strikes you're out policy. which means your account will be closed if you get 3. sellers have fees involved for items sold. he will be reimbursed if you get a strike.
