Ok, for your dark circles they sell creams or you can use packs of ice or veggies from the freezer to reduce the circles. Place them on there for about a half hour, and you can do this a few times a day, and at night. This works lovely. I am not sure of any home remedies for lightening skin since my skin is very lightbut I know if you do an internet search you can find something easily. I can help with some of your other questions though. Covergirl, for instance, is not at all a great makeup company for hiding blemishes or skin discolorations. The best coverup/foundation I have ever used is Revlon colorstay. I know they have deep dark colors, but I am not sure of the selection as I am very pale. You can test the colors on the inside of your wrist, (near the palm) which should closely match your face. But so you know, this is a bit of a pricey foundation, I have paid anywhere from 8.00-12.00 dollars for one bottle. I find that it is very worth the price. But make sure to get the the bigger bottle if they have it because it will stay on a lot longer than the new one in the smaller bottle. They both work well, but the other can withstand a lot of activity. (The large bottle will have a black SCREW OFF lid, but it may also be red as well, since I think they changed the look. The smaller bottle usually has a squirt pump, but this can vary. The smaller bottle is more slim.) Make sure to blend well or you will have to wash your face to fix any mistakes. And for your acne...well, I had some acne pron skin for awhile and could find nothing to get rid of it. The only thing that seemed to work for me was a women's multivitamin. Even a generic brand, and plenty of water. You can try cleansers, but they never worked for me and I spent too much money on them, and they were not worth it. Try the vitamins, they cant hurt. Good luck. I'm sure you will look great for your pics.

I have always had a problem with dark circles underneath my eyes. I have found two things that work really well. Try Physician's Formula two-step under eye cover, or if you are willing to spend a little more money, try Clinique "all about eyes" dark circle concealer. With the makeup from Clinique, you can get a variety of colors to match your skin tone. I really think that a shimmery gold/yellow is a very flattering color for dark eyes. Also, if you are getting pictures taken and wear any powder or foundation, make sure to go a tone darker than usual so it comes up normal in the photo.
As far as skin care, I tried proactive for about a year and my skin actually got worse, not to mention it was rediculously priced. A good product i have found is a avacodo/cucumber face mask. You leave it on for about 10 minutes and it cleanses and moisturizes in one. Hope that helps. Good Luck!

If you have dark circles under your eyes avoid adding dark makeup to your lower lid like a eyeliner under the eye and mascarra on the lower lashes will attract to your circles you want the color on the upper lid to distract from the circles. use a good foundation (no suggestions sry i have fair skin) and a loose powder over that. when applying the lose powder use a pressed powder puff or a makeup sponge it will give you better coverage. use a light color like a real light brown on your lid from lash to crease then a little bit darker color from crease to a tiny bit below the eye brow. Now for the crease do somethin a lil brighter like a pretty blue tone not a dark blue a brighter blue like royal or teal or maybe even a green would look great. depending on your clothing a bright purple may look nice too but only apply the colro you choose to the crease. I think i took this a little too into depth lol hope it helped. also when doing photos makeup tends to need to be applied a lil darker then ud normally wear it./

Lol, i got you covered, okay that new Maybelline Pure Makeup is great try using the concealer, and the powder and or foundation
For eyeshadow metallic colours
Great Look: Use black eyeliner on the top of your eyelids and go out a bit further at the ends, then get a bronze/mocha eyeshadow(shimmery/metallic) when appyling i suggest a brush, but if you dont have one then its okay wet the applicator but not to much, just dampen it then apply the eyeshadow to your eyes, just enough so when you open your eyes you'll see shimmer, also use black mascara,
Facial: Scrub, then steam cover with towel so steam doesnt escape, at peppermint tea bags in hot water(5mins) , then use a clay mask
Hope all that helps!

Yep, proactive is good from what I've heard. If you buy some today, your skin should be decent by 2 weeks. It won't be completely clear, but it will look better. Also, go to your dermatologist and ask for some 5% bleaching cream (hydroquinine). Use it twice a day.

I also have very dark skin and I perfer MAC make up which is very expensive, but in my opinion I would just stick to natural. You probably are a very beautiful African-American princess. So, stick to natural. I also think Make up doesn't really show up on our skin unless its bright and face it that's not really cute. Try some clear lip gloss and a light brown lip liner. That's what I would do

For your acne, keep with a daily routine.
For your circles, try to get a good nights rest and use a good coverup, maybellen NY works very well.
For eyeshadow- dont over do it, try to go as natural as possible becuase it might look good with a mirror but a camera picture can depend on lighting and all that so you dont want them to look weird.
But a lighter brown would work well.

You can put wet, cool teabags or slices of cucumber over your eyes to soothe and relieve puffiness. The best makeup I've found are the natural mineral powders because they are actually good for your skin and do not clog pores. Try Bare Escentuals, it feels light and works well to even out skin tone.

Try a cut lemon rubbed on your face and let dry overnight to lighten the spots and try Kevyn Aucoin Sensual Skin Enhancer to cover them.
