Yes he does, if you do some research on the third movie (I did) Jack is rescued by the cast. However he may or may not be angry with Elizabeth.

He's not going to escape,,,,, but he will come back from the dead. Don't you people remember the last scene from that movie ??? It was Barbosa !!! Somehow he came back from the dead, and so will Jack.
