i do--my favorites are: "The Masque of the Red Death", "The Pit and the Pendulum", and " The Tell-Tale Heart". he was an excellent author and poet.

Yeah, he was great. A&E covered him on their Biography series. It sometimes airs around Halloween, but you might be able to get the DVD.....I just checked Amazon and it is available for around $15. It's about an hour long and very insightful.

Something else, too. There's a CD by the Alan Parsons Project called Tales of Mystery and Imagination. The songs are based on some of Poe's shorts stories, and it's an amazing album. It came out in early 1976 and I can't recommend it highly enough. The Raven is awesome, and there's a 15-minute instrumental called "The Fall of the House of Usher". It's in 5 parts and goes back and forth between an orchestra and pop/rock sections. If you want great examples of how music can tell a story, some of the best examples are here. In fact, a thunderstorm passed over the recording studio as they were recording and they left it in the song. The part where the house falls will give you chills.

I love his furry TAILs!!!! The cat-tails, the raccoon tails, the rooster tails, and the tale of The Raven, too.

I mean I`ve read several of his stories but never knew he had even one tail let alone tails.

I have never seen him in tails, however, I do enjoy some of his TALES.
