Honestly, I would rather be beautiful.
It is true that beauty fades, but when you are smart you also lose out in a way because you can no longer take the easy road of ignorance, and it seems that you are constantly pressured because people expect so much of you.
If you are dumb enough yet beautiful enough, you can snag yourself a rich guy who'll want you for a trophy wife and then get half of his stuff when the divorce finalizes.
Unfortunately, I am smart, so I would never do this. But I do realize how much easier it would be...

Physical beauty lasts only a short time and is only good for helping yourself. Smarts helps many people on many different levels. If I had to choose, I'd go with smarts.

I wouldn't choose to be beautiful over being smart. However, that isn't the way the world works because in the real world, if you were beautiful then you could find a mate that has a lot of money. Isn't that what Kevin did to Britney Spears?

It's not a choice that really bugs me because I'm considered good looking and pretty smart. Though if such a choice would boost either of the two I'd pick smart over pretty. There is after all quality in smartness and if you look long enough at beauty you'll find that it isn't all that.

You have made me miss my dad, he died last August...We used to have these debates all the time for fun. Debating is a sport at my house.
He would always say to me which one would you pick?
Smart?Rich? or Beautiful?
Then we would debate for an hour.
Well I used to say, Smart, because with a brilliant mind I could attain great wealth and then pay for the beauty!
We would get into the ethical and moral details for hours.
In the long run I was glad to be me and to have my daddy!
I miss him, and I would like to debate the Idea of life for ever with him if I could. Be your self and love the fine things you have right now!

I would choose to be a very smart person - and I am not rejecting beauty - because, if you were intelligent, you would have the obvious benefits of that and you could discover ways to attain beauty through science (cream formulas, etc.).

I would choose to be very smart person, cos you don't need to be very beautiful to be a successful person. A very good example: Singapore Prime Minister Mr Lee’s wife.
