Your turtles will be fine if fed well before you leave. Like me you may decide to go to the pet shop and buy some guppies. They are very cheap and will help the quality and site of your tank as well as provide some entertainment for your pets. If the turtles do get hungry while you are gone they can revert back to their wild state and feed on the fish. have a wonderful trip The USA is beautiful.

I would overfeed them a couple days before you leave. Feed them cut up smelt. I would also do a complete water change the day before you leave. To be on the safe side, if you have a friend who can feed them every other day, that would be the best.

How is your tank set up? Sliders are aquatic turtles. Is it mostly water with places for them to bask?

Offer for a friend or neighbor to feed them and check on them at least every other day. One day of not feeding turtles wont hurt or harm them. Just make sure that their water is fresh and clean before you leave.

They are reptiles, reptiles can go an amazing length of time without being fed. Just give them some extra before you leave or something. And feed them good every day during the week before you leave.
