You are asking the most mentally diminished of the population why they cannot add and subtract. Hell some of them don't even understand the question.

You do realize that you are sterotyping a party that has anywhere from 30-70%(I don't know the actual percentage, it's just a guess) based on what I can only guess as coming from snippits of television news pieces. Yes some Republicans can't add or subtract but neither can some Democrats. I'm sure your just mad about the present issues in the news today, but let me tell you what is actually happening. Basically what you are seeing and feeling is the effects of us losing our supremessy.
Bush has nothing to do with that as the causes are much larger than America. WWII pretty much destroyed everything from Europe to Asia and one of the only industrialized countries that wasn't devestated was the US(And don't say that we won the war because that isn't completely true. Russia and Hitlers military strategic incompetence had more to do Germany's defefeat than we did). We also were the only country that wasn't hit on our own turf(with the exception of Pearl Harbor). This left us and Russia alone as the superpowers of the world, since the rest of the world were still licking their wounds from the total devestation that is WWII.
Fastforwarding a little bit you would start to see things like India and China developing nuclear bombs. China build the largest dam in the world and starting to finally compete in the global market. You say that the change in oil prices and the recent turmoil in the middle east is Bush's fault, but think about how little the U.S.'s effect actually is. True, we has taken over/freed Iraq and Afganistan, and taking Iraq out of the picture has disrupted the balance of power in the region. I say your looking in the wrong place. To view the future of the world look farther east. China and India's economies are booming to say to least. The countries with the largest populations in the world are finally starting to compete in the world market place. If you want proof look at how little power the US has against Iran and especially North Korea. For the first time in a while, we are starting to realize that are percentage of power is going down, through no fault of our own. You can't expect for 1.5-1.7 billion people to start using oil and nothing to happen to the price. The world is focused on Israel, I'm sorry but Israel is gnat compared to the stirring Dragon and Tiger that lay father east. Even as I speak China's economy is growing, its military is getting ever larger, it's building a larger navy, and worst of all they are using technology stolen from the US to augment their fleet. What scares me the most is all the time that misguided fools center their attention on the middle east. Just look at the stats of the region. You have China which I already talked about, Japan the most technologically advanced nation in the world(with a possible exception to us), South and North Korea(Two nations that have been at the brink of War for 50 years), Taiwan(A nation that is the last part China needs to claim before it can call it's self whole. We also swore to defend it if they attack), India(a nuclear power that hates Pakistan and despises China), and Pakistan(also a nuclear power which hates India). A storm is brewing in the Far East, and in the future I think that you'll see an every more building of the military in that region. What's happening there is the samething that introduced WWI.

Why is it that people can't get on with their lives and just worry about themselves. I think you mean to ask, why can't some people add or subtract? Because there are democrats and liberals and right wings that can't either. As for a deficit you need to learn that Republicans weren't the only party voting on certain issues that caused it. Also Remember that a deficit isn't in just a few years it take a long time to create. (Clinton) Before you jump in the pool do you actually check to see if there is any water? I bet you blame the pool guy for the water not being there huh? Remember, that it is up to you to make sure that it gets done. Pay the bill and maybe you can get things done on your part.

When you look at the money, taxpayer money, wasted by the Democrats, you have to wonder if they have trouble with math also. Oooops, I forgot, they aren't spending their money, they are spending other people's money... ours.
The US government took in a record amount of money for 2005, funny that happens when taxes are lowered.
The Democrats like high taxes and appeasment at any cost, even math. The Republicans like low taxes and high prices.
Too bad they aren't whittling away at the deficit instead of wasting it on foreign aid to countries that continually vote against the US in the UN.
Actually, I think both parties can count very well. They just like to spend other people's money.

Answerman they can't read the whole question and then they fail don't they. I see that you must have viewed the link to the deficit too. So your answer was valid by their failure to comply. Good question Courtney they aren't very smart are they.

Anti-Bush people go on nothing but Propaganda, nothing solid to base their foolish babbling on... Soo typical.
