beer and smokes, How come they can all afford beer and smokes but not their rent. BTW: I am not exagerrating, I do live in a trailor park in missississipi, and there are plenty of people down hear outta work

it is like this all over the world,, some where along the line we forgot what is important in life i work in a housing estate with 250 houses and 90% of the area is like this, part of my job is to find and give these people things to do (courses and activities) but it is not always successful, the one thing we can't give these people is incentive to stop destroying their lives and follow a plan
it is disappointing to see so many people like this but you can't help those who don't want to be helped

if you live in an area like this you can still make something of your life and if you do you should be very proud of what you achieve

That's what happens when you suffer from an addiction. The object of your addiction is more important than anything, including the rent, as they will spend their rent money on alcohol, drugs or what not.

You need to stop judging such people as character deficient. They're sick, and they need help. Unfortunately nobody can legally or morally compel them to get help. They have to want it themselves. You got to pity them, but it is wrong of you to judge them harshly unless you have been in their shoes, and obviously you haven't. Count yourself fortunate.
