loose will cover up more but if you have a limited amount of time and dont like to put foundation under neath just throw it on and go I would go with pressed. I have both in my collection and use pressed powder for those normal days and loose powder for photoshoots when i need complete coverage.

I used pressed powder from the time I first started to wear makeup until just recently I switched to loose powder and it made a huge difference...loose powder is the way to go it looks much more natural.

I use pressed powder but apply it with a big loose powder brush, works good and then just use the sponge that comes with the pressed powder for throughout the day touch-ups.

Loose powder. Pressed powder has oils added that could cause your face to break out.

I use a pressed powder foundation...works so much better than loose, since you don't lose any of it while applying it. It has much better coverage too, without having to use regular foundation or concealer. I use Neutrogena skin-clearing oil-free compact foundation(has both qualities of a pressed powder and a foundation). It goes on great, feels light and not like "cake" on your face. They have a good variety of shades. I use blushing ivory.
