A business day is one day, normally Monday through Friday, and excludes weekends. However, if a holiday falls on any of those 5 days, then that day is not a business day. For example, July 4 fell on a Tuesday in 2006. That was not a "business day" in the USA.

Everyone has failed to mention that business days are Monday through Friday with the exception of holidays. If a holiday falls on a weekday, it does not count as a business day.
