I just purchased a yahmaha fg700S (great guitar). The action is a high for my taste, but i dont want to adjust it or pay for it to get adjusted. Does the action get lower over time. I know the body stretches out producing a better sound.

No it does not adjust itself over time.

Two places you can lower the action on that guitar, and you can do it yourself without paying a music shop big bucks. You can lower the action several ways, but remember to be patient, you must not rush or hurry through this,at the bridge, down on the body you can file the string guides with a fingernail file, you can do the same thing at the nut, only if it needs it or you can sand the string guide on the bottom,go easy. nice axe by the way.

the action gets worse over time. Get the truss rod adjusted or return it.
