Why is it that your penalised for asking questions? Some questions are very intriguing and deserve some sort of renumeration. There goes my 5 points like little bluebirds flying nonchalantly by my tired, sad face. I'm getting a pain over my left eye: I think it.s because I,m becoming delusional over yahhoo answers ansd questions. I'll look like something that's been dragged out of a grave before I have the wonderful accolade of being on the leader board!

Because yahoo want to encourage this to be viewed as a live wikipedia type site with the biggest rewards going to the best answerer of a question.
You're not penalised to any great extent. If you answer enough questions and concentrate on quality you reach those giddy height's where you're not penalised at all.

I agree, there are some good questions. A woman asked a question I thought was ingenious - so much so, that she ought to have taken a patent out on the idea. Her question stimulated my creativity immediately and I improved on it and gave an answer pertinent to but on a bigger scale than, her question. It got me best answer, so we were both happy.

Keep at it and bear in mind the only strategies are to be honest and give it your BEST shot or learn to discern those questions that are not after what they seem to be. On this last point, I always point out that I'm telling them what I think they want otherwise this confuses some who read other's answers in earnest. There is a demand for yahoo answers as a useful tool, though you'd be forgiven for not believing it sometimes.

Incidentally I'm deciphering some of what I think your question is about.
Literal to your question but incidental. I have a stitch scar on my left forefinger. You didn't know, now you do.!!

This is to ensure people take the time to answer people's questions. Otherwise there would be a million questions on here, all with hardly any answers. I think they should give us prizes or money for reaching certain levels though, because once you get a few thousand points, you can basically ask as many questions as you like and there's little incentive to get more points.

Have you ever wondered which hurts the most?
Saying something and wishing you hadn't?
Or saying nothing and wishing you had?
I guess the most important things are the hardest things to say.

Don't be afraid to tell someone you love them.
If you do, they might break your heart
If you don't, you might break theirs.

Too many of us hide our true feelings because we are too afraid to care too much, for fear that the other person does not care as much, or even at all.

Don't be a person who has to look back and wonder what theywould have done, or could have had.
*What would you do if every time you fell in love you had to say good-bye?
*What would you do if you loved someone more than ever and you couldn't have them?

I wish I could help the pain in your eye. That's just the way it is. I wish it stopped idiots posting daft questions (NOT YOURS) that I am tempted to answer cheekily. I am on level 4, having tried to answer honestly & informatively, except for a few cheekies!

You are probably penalised for asking questions because your submitted question has no less than five grammatical or spelling errors in it, making it an average of one error for every line of text.

I agree, seems like there should be a reward for asking good questions and demerits for bad questions. Or even some system to rate the questions.

Competing with nothingness....and they've got everyone by the jinglers!

You wait till they don't like something you write and delete it for you whilst giving you an irrelevant and disconnected reason for them doing so!
