I would get all the Braves Autographs and pay the Pitcher of the other team off to let Marcus Giles hit a whole bunch of home runs. I'd give Bobby Cox a raise and fire Jorge Sosa. I'd also try to get Ryan Klesko back from the Padres.

if it was the A's i would make billy beane resign barry zito to a 10 year, no trading, contract (is that realistic). then i would try and trade somebody, maybe eric chavez, for somebody who can actually hit. next i would invite former A's greats, like rickey henderson, reggie jackson, and dennis eckersley to that day's game. i would have a big pregame ceremony honoring those players, and have autograph signings, with both the former and current players participating. i would then sign rickey and eckersley to 1 year contracts, and have rickey either start the game, or make a pinch hit appearance during the game. hopefully, after that day, billy beane would keep him in the majors, and ken macha would let him make occasional pinch hit appearances, and eventually he would hit his 300th homer and steal a few more bases. eckersley would throw the 1st pitch of the game, the 1st pitch of the ACTUAL game, not a ceremonial pitch, if they won i would celebrate with the team, if not, i would solemnly say goodbye to the players. thanks for asking this question i never really though about this before

I'd have a day with the players, play catch with them, take BP (Try to hit one over the Green Monster - Using an aluminum bat!!! - Yes I'm not that good of a hitter), then for the game I'd appoint myself as honorary 3rd base coach for the game.
I'd also have the players sign lots of baseballs and bring them to the Dana Farber cancer institute for the kids...

I would tell all of the players (even the overpaid "superstars") that I will pay them if they win the game that day. I think that would be great incentive for a team to bust their @ss and win.
In case that is fantasy, I would choose to own the Chicago White Sox and then let my husband be the co-manager with Ozzie. That is his favorite team. I would do that, even though MY favorite team is the Cubbies (I know - I'm a glutton for punishment).

well I would start a petition to get baseball set up on a salary cap much like football. That way it will even out the playing field instead of those with the deepest pockets seem to have a better chance of winning and the small market teams can't afford to keep their players.

I would get on the tractor and mow the whole field. That would be awesome. Plus you would have all the media watching you since you only own the team for the day. So you would make sports center riding on a tractor. How cool is that.

my brother is a die-hard cubs fan. he never got to watch them play before he got into an accident and became wheel-chair bound as a quadriplegic. because he doesn't live in the u.s., i'd have have a game dedicated in honor of him and tape it. i'd get all the players to send a video greating and sign a pictures & a ball. ...of course, it would be really nice for the cubbies to actually WIN the game... but THAT may be asking for way too much!

I would make sure I was on the payroll for that one day of work. If I were the owner, one day of pay would probably still be more than I what I make in my regular job.
