I have many friends, but with none of them I feel 100% connected. We have very different lives and objectives. Very often I don't feel comfortable in their company because we are so different. I still haven't found a completely compatible friend.The only person I feel really open and relaxed with is my boyfriend. Does anyone have the same problem?

I know what you mean. I feel comfortable with people but I have such unique interests I guess I accidentally close myself up. You just got to keep looking. I'm sure eventually you'll find that friend. Just don't give up. I know I won't. I'm looking for the boyfriend-closeness though, which is equally tough with my interests. At least you've got your man. :) hang in there.

I had this problem with a former friend. She was nice and everything but she was a little on the annoying side, we had our good times and bad. I felt through the whole relationship that we were BEARLY friends. I tried to stop being friends, but found it was hard. The best thing to do is try to understand where the specific person is coming from, try to walk in her shoes or his. If you still feel this way, tell the friend and see what you two can do together to solve it.
