Simply feed the cities from & to, and on a single click u can get the distance b/w not only north but most of the indian cities.
I think firsdt one gives even the small towns.

Each book provides info about tha state and a brief introduction, vital stats , where n when to visit, what to see , where to stay and detailed multicocor map with road distances.
Available at most bookshops, you can ask for them statewise eg Punjab, J&K, HP, Rajasthan etc.
