Consider your source. If the person that made fun of you is no fashionista themselves I wouldn't worry about it. Tell them they can borrow it to take attention away from their hair (insert thin, balding, oily, split ends, bad color comment here.)If they are quite into fashion ask them how much acid wash they bought when it was in style and remind them that it may still come back into fashion.
I kinda like your hat, I think women have a huge advantage over men that way.
