This happened to me in my 20's when I was heavily involved in drinking and drug use...it seemed to sap my inspiration and desire to paint / draw. I'm not sure if you are doing any of that but if you are, it quite possibly could be the problem.

Stress and lack of sleep can also have an effect of the creative process. Relax and get into a routine that lets you get a good nights rest. Pretty soon you will be back creating your art.

First off, art should not be limited to one time period a week if you mean to make it your life. The best way I've found to get out of a funk is to try a different drawing technique: if you draw subjects from your imagination, try drawing something from real life as close to realistic proportions as you can. Find a dead insect, get a magnifying glass, and draw the bug, or the bug and the magnifying glass, or if you're really ambitious, you drawing the bug through the magnifying glass. The problem most people have when they've hit a "block" is that they feel they cannot draw other subjects as well as they draw things they're used to. It's important to remember that when you began drawing your favorite things, it didn't begin perfectly, but that didn't matter because having fun was more important than getting it right. So, in order to continually be inspired is to work on one type of drawing for a while, but also have several different projects on the backburner so that when one work gets boring or "blocked" you have something else familiar to work on; what is most important is that you keep drawing. The last thing this world needs is another Rembrandt dropping out of the fold before realizing how important they are.

Well, you didn't say what subject matter you 'like' to draw (scenery, portraits, modern art, etc). I like using a magazine named W for anatomy, the photography is sublime. I also learned a trick from professional artist friends that keep collections of photographs (ie. clouds, flowers, sunsets, poses, buildings, etc.) in this way you have a number of items you can blend in interesting ways to inspire new work. Other than that, I would ask myself 'what' could you create that would express a feeling you are experiencing. (ie, happiness, desperation, hope, etc.), that you would like to express.

Or you could play squiggle. Did you ever do that as a child? You make a squiggle quickly and then concentrate upon it and turn it into 'what feels right.'

Even if you do not 'feel' inspired, draw anyway. Draw what your eye lands upon. It does not matter what, for no matter what the drawing, and the challenge of 'how to represent the work,' teaches you to use your mind in challenging ways. The more we work the better we see.

Depending on what art does it for you goes alot on what will inspire you but one method i rarely find fails is to get a girlfriend round and slowly take a small amount of clothing off and draw her pose each time she removes some clothing eventually your inner artistic eye will again see the shere beauty of all your surrounds which will inspire you in drawing anything

Here is an excellent exercise taught to me by the greatest art teacher I ever had. Just start to doodle first thing every morning and when you see an image accidentally appear in your doodle try to develop that. It really gets the juices flowing and the worst thing that happens is you are going through the motion of drawing and that is most important. I have actually created finished works of art starting with this exercise and they just come to you. It works!

I used to think I was subject to a muse, a spirit of inspiration, and if it wasn't there I couldn't create anything. So much so, I started feeling very insecure; as if I wasn't really talented nor creative, but there was a power beyond me that gave me that grace at wish.
Now I've learned how to overcome this, it's my way and it works for me. I purposely start to fill my mind with beautiful things, shapes, etc. It can be simply dusting off my collection of decorating magazines, my art books, discovering cool websites of other art expressions that are not quite my line. Go window shopping to my favorite stores, go for a ride to the prettiest spots I know, in the country or in the city looking at cool buildings or old houses (I love them). Stores filled of colorful pottery, read an inspirational book, watch Noggin TV (my favorite cartoons!) etc. etc. etc. It always works.
You only go as far as your imagination, and I've learned it needs to be fed, through images, words, smells, emotions, music, etc.

I found this title on Amazon and the reviews were very interesting, you can get it used pretty cheap (7us) and was in the list of reccomended books for illustrators on this website. I found it on Yahoo Answers this morning, I'm glad I did, good reccomendations.

Check old family photographs, look at landmarks, watch children play, but narrow your vision to a specific site and not the full horizon. You don't necessarily have to draw every tree in the forrest to display the beauty of an old oak.
