Do people really have so little self confidence that they have to ask people on the internet for praise?

The one I like best is when they ask if they are pretty when all they have is a freaking cartoon avatar!!! Yeah baby your cartoon is freaking smokin!!

Sadly, yes, some people don't have much self confidence so they must turn to the Internet for affirmation of their worth, looks, etc....
I don't think that "just one picture" is the problem though... the major problem is their CARTOON AVATARS! How do they expect us to know what they look like if the only picture they have is their avatar???? *shrug* /:-|

I totally agree. Not just that but they post out things like "Are there any hot guys out there I can make out with?" The chances that any of the guys on these websites are hot are slim at best, plus it's the internet. You have as much of a chance of meeting a hot guy as you have of meeting a sexual offender.

Yes, I think they do it because they feel like people who don't know them personally and from real life will be more honest and straightforward because they don't have to worry about hurting someone's feelings and then having to live with it. I know you can't always tell from one picture, but if it's a good picture you can.

Might not that they have no confidence, it could be that they want to have more booster on their self confidence. This is what motivation course taught.

i honestly don't know. maybe they just need their daily boost, and the internet is the only way they won't have to hear the truth because no one really knows.
