I believe it's because the Unitedstatians all prefers to be called "Americans" (possibly to say that they're the lords of the whole americas), and possibly of that old saying before the WWII, "America for (North) Americans" (North is inserted between parenthesis because it's not written on the saying, but because the Unitedstatian president [Franklin D. Roosevelt, i believe, i care little] said that and spoke, like, "for all of Americas", so it's inserted as implying that Americas are ENTIRELY for the Unitedstatians ONLY).
