Yea I think its a beautiful place! I used to go camping up there.
I haven't been there for years.
I went to the "festival of lights" in the summer, where you watch fireworks and watch boats lit up. It was pretty nice.
I also enjoyed the zoo when I was little.

Actually, we lived there for a few months in 1963 at 141 Arthur Avenue, in a cottage that was moved off the property where the Rite-Way store (which became Towers and then Zellers) was built. I remember my astonishment when I looked out the kitchen window and a cow was staring back at me! I suppose the cow is long gone now that Peterborough has become a much bigger city. The Kawartha Lakes region is beautiful - especially this time of year. Enjoy!

Yes...I have been there.......its a version of anytown in Canada....maybe just a touch dirtier. Whats to remember about it? Other than the fact that some of my wifes family live there...there is no other reason to remember that city.

Just like Burlington, Oshawa, Kitchener, Milton......basically....all I know is its on my way to Ottawa....and I dont even like to going there either.
