Isabel Allende is an amazing author. I'm not sure you'd call her books a series, but they're all linked together through different characters. You can read them in any order and they still make sense, but I'd read them in order if you can because that way you see the progression down the family line (if you read the books you'll understand what I'm talking about!). If you're wanting something easy and quick to read, I suggest "The Stories of Eva Luna." It's a compilation of short stories by Allende and it's amazing!

How's that for a start? They all have written at least one series of three books or more. And that is only part of my collection.

Have you read the Stephanie Plum books by Janet Evanovich - starting with One for the Money? They are a hoot. Also anything by Billie Letts - Shoot the Moon or Honk and Holler Opening Soon or Where the Heart Is? Or the Bean Tree by Barbara Kingsolver (which I liked much better than the Poisonwood Bible).

Depends on your tastes.
I personally love any book put out by Luna Books.
There are a subdivision of Harlequin that specializes in Fantasy Novels written by women authors.
I am just finishing up Cast In Courtlight by Michelle Sagara.
The Retrievers Series by Leann Gilman is also fantastic, fun, supernatural and romantic. Bring it On is the latest. Staying Dead is also there.
The Weather Warden Series by Rachel Caine
Kim Harrison's Dead With Walking and the sequels rock.
I love a 'new' Pacific Northwest Author Lilith Saintcrow. She has several small press books but has one mainstream pub'd book Working For the Devil.
If you are looking for something Darker - The Turning By Jennifer Arnicourt is excellet.
Dawn Cook has a second in her Princess series - Princess At Sea. That came out on Tuesday
Sharon Shinn's Samara series is bound to make you cry
And I can't forget Christine Feehan. Her books saved my sanity when I was going thru chemo-therapy. The Carpathians, Drake and GhostWalkers are my favorite. Her Jaguar people I can take or leave.
Suzanne Sizemore's I hunger for you, I thirst for you, Master of desire and primal heat are hot and sexy with vampires
Emma Holly writes straight and supernatural Erotica/Romance that is bound to keep anyone's attention.
If you hunger for something along the lines of but in my opinion better than the DaVinci Code - try any of Katherine Neville's books. They twist and turn, and present far more interesting solutions.
John Sandford's Prey series is interesting in the serial killer genre.
Um, I think I just defined myself as a bookworm so I'm gonna stop now, but if you are interested in any of the above books, please feel free to contact me, I have tons more to recommend

Manhunt-the hunt for Lincoln's killer
It gives a minute by minute account of the 12 day search of John Wilkes Booth. It reads like a suspense novel that it why I am recommending it. They are making a movie of the book starring Harrison Ford I believe. I read it in 4 days.
