My computer is doing the same thing (Running Windows Vista). It may just be that a driver is installed that is registering as floppy install, or some kind of "virtual device" issue. To fix it, do this:

1. Right click on My Computer

2. Click Properties

3. Click on Hardware, then Device Manager

4. Locate the entries that say, " Floppy disk controllers (u might not have this one), and "Floppy disk drives".

5. Right click on these and click "disable".

6. Close the Device Manager, and you're good to go.

Maybe your PC is treating one of your USB connections as a floppy drive. When you click on My Computer, how many drives do you see?
