I would really need more info about your machine before I could give the details on how to fix the problem. Would need to know things like what operating system you are using, eg windowsXP and whether or not you have your computer motherboard CD; it would have your intel drivers on it. Can you boot up the computer and get any text display on your monitor at all?

Sometimes chat technicians make an honest mistake. This is understandable because they cannot actually see what is going on. I think I would speak to another operator to see if the information jibes before reformatting the hard drive. Bummer. Sorry.

ouch....1st id try to restore to b-4 u got rid of it ...if going to restore dont work then id have to believe the person knew what they where talking about .....if u dont know how to do formatting id try to go back to factory settings....turn off your puter...then as u boot up keep hitting the F10 key till it beeps ...if your puter came from a factory u can go back to those settings in there ...but either way other than the restore u will lose all your data unless u put it in mail......your yahoo mail box keeps things safe for u if u can get the things u want to keep in there
