Some sexually transmitted diseases have other routes of infection as well.
Cytomegalovirus, for example, is sexually transmitted and so common in the population that many people are infected by their mothers at birth. If they miss that route, it can also be transmitted by exposure to blood, saliva, or urine of an infected person - a lot of kids pick it up in day care. And if you manage to avoid all those routes of infection, you can get it from sex too.
So yes, you or your partner probably has some form of sexually transmitted disease already. Sure, a lot of them won't kill you outright, but most of them have the potential to make you suffer at least a bit (CMV above is linked to miscarriages) and many will remain with you for the rest of your life once you get them.
Caution is the rule. Sex is no game.

The only way to get std's is if you have sex with someone who has the disease. If both of you are virgens then you can't give it to each other but I would suggest that you wait until you're older and preferably married for sex. If not another way to protect yourself is a condom. It isn't a 100% only abstinence is 100%.

you can get stds from yes, having sex or oral sex with a partner who has one. but if either one of your parents passed HIV or any other std onto you when you were born, there is a chance that u can pass it on losing your virginity. just to clarify u can also receive an std by oral or anal sex. also, genital warts can be passed on by any skin to skin contact.

You get STD's from an infected partner. If your partner has an STD, and you go unprotected you'll probably get it as well.
