I know we all are suppose to be PC and homosexuality is so cool and hot right now in our culture, but be honest: the moment your kid was to tell you they were gay would you be happy, could care less, or disappointed?
Do you think it reflects bad on you as a parent like you wonder what did I do to cause this to happen?
I mean from my perspective, if I had one son who had a wife and kids and another who was being bent over taking it up his rear(excuse the imagery but as a parent tthat would be all I would see in my mind) I would still love thhem both but would be prouder of the married son with kids. Wouldnt you?

I would not allow them to be homo as long as they lived at my home. If they chose to leave-it would be down a one way street. Perversion can not be tolerated. Children are not born homo-they are made. Raise them right and that will not be a problem.

It's no big deal to me.As long as my kid is happy, that's all that counts.And if they end up with a life partner, they can adopt kids, so I'll still get my grandkids out of the deal.And if I don't, oh well, on the bright side, atleast I won't get 3 am phone calls " Mom! The baby's sick! Can you come over?!" and " Mom, can you watch the baby?We really want to go out to this place."

I have many gay friends and a few gay relatives. So I don't judge people based on their sexuality, but HONESTLY in my heart if my son or daughter came to me and said they were "gay" my initial thought in my head would be sadness, because that's just how I know I would feel. I have nothing against anybody because I live my life and I let everyone else live theirs because whatever they do in their life has no effect on mine. BUT in that situation I really would feel like I did something wrong as a parent because that's my kid. I'd still love them to death though. But that's just me ...

not really. as long as both were successful in whatever it was they were doing, i could care less. another part of me would be disappointed that they didn't do exactly what i wanted them 2 do, but i would be able to find happiness in their happiness. what if the "gay son" also married (yes, another man) and they adopted children and he had a wonderful job and the "straight son" didn't work, had a drug problem, was in and out of jail, etc etc. would u still b more proud of the "straight son"?

The sexual preference of my child is one of the last things I worry about. Let's put it another way: Would you be disappointed if your child was a foot-fetishist, or could only become around while wearing animal outfits, or liked to spank people while engaged in intercourse?
As long as they are healthy and happy then other little things like that are unimportant.
PS: If you frequently imagine your children having sex, there are people who would say it is YOU who are the ill one. Just sayin'.

I would be disappointed that the likelihood of legacy would amputated not necessarily but most likely.... but by the way I know quite a few homosexuals they are not very happy so why call them gay??

A non-issue. Health, Brains, Self Suficient, Loving, Good heart, kind to animals, Good sense of humor----those are BIG issues. Sexuality, a non-issue.
