I already have a small booster and the Cable Company is clueless on how to fix this problem, very annoying. We replaced the DVR several times, the Cable Co said it's a signal problem.

Unless you have an unusual installation (multiple spitters and TVs connected) any signal problem is the cable company's problem. You should not need a booster unless the cable company installs one. If they can't provide a decent signal, then cancel and get satellite (or at least threaten to). You should not be paying for incomplete service.

TRY REMOVING THE BOOSTER.
HOW DO YOU HAVE THE DVR HOOKED UP? SOME CABLE COMPANIES DE-ACTIVATE THE "HDMI" OUTPUT.
SEE IF THERE'S A LOCAL FORUM ABOUT YOUR CABLE COMPANY. SINCE PEOPLE ON "YAHOO ANSWERS" AREN'T LIKELY TO BE FAMILIAR WITH YOUR LOCAL COMPANY'S SERVICE.
