Yes! I was on Greyhound bus somewhere outside Oklahoma City when suddenly this funnel cloud appeared beside us in the field, it almost sounded like we were heading into a ginat waterfall! It looked like it was coming after us then suddenly changed directions. It scared the holy crap out of me! It baffles the hell out of me how anybody can live around that and think it is just normal...

I drove THROUGH an F0 tornado.

I was driving home from work( I lived in Florida at the time) and there was a torrential downpour. I couldn't see where I was going and thought of pulling over- but that wasn't safe either- the road I was on had narrow shoulders with ditches past that. All of a sudden the wind picked up and all of a sudden, my car was in the left lane- almost like God had picked up my car and instantly moved it into the other lane. I corrected myself(it was a road with very little traffic) and somehow regained my composure and 5 minutes later, the storm was gone.

When I got home, the news said a tornado had been spotted on Narcossee road. A couple hours later, I heard someone say that they had seen a white car drive through the tornado. From my vantage point, I couldn't see a funnel cloud, I only saw intense rain and felt the wind. The next day, I noticed a few dents on the side of my car that I hadn't noticed before, but otherwise, no damage.

Most awesome experiences of my life! Talk about a rush! They are so beautiful that you almost become mesmerized watching them and forget the danger they pose. I have seen a tornado wipe out half a town and then just disappear without a trace, leaving you to wonder if you really just saw what you did or if a bomb exploded. RUSH!!!

I've seen a few touch down ........
closest one was when I was driving
to a shopping mall, and I saw it drop
from clouds a few miles to the south.
many cars pulled off hiway, but since
mall was only about 2 miles ahead I
knew I had time to make it inside and
figured that would be safest place.

The tornado lifted about 2 miles before
it reached the mall

I've never seen one on the ground, but I've seen funnel clouds. I remember one skimming the treetops very close to where I lived at the time. (Pine Bluff, Ark.) It happened at night, but the next day, I observed that many trees had been twisted & broken. I've seen trees that have been struck by lightning. (In fact, lightning took out a big oak tree in our yard during that same storm.) This was different. I consider myself & my family very fortunate to have escaped unharmed & I'll certainly never forget it.

Once, when deep sea fishing, a storm was close, and saw a waterspout. Got some good pics too. It wasn't terribly scary because being out in the sea, in a boat, it seems we had "any" direction to flee in. But we just circumvented the storm and kept fishing!

Yes. We were able to outrun it in our car. The twister we saw was one of many that hit on Palm Sunday 1965 in Indiana. I'll never forget the sight.

Yes I have. I stood at the sliding glass door and watched it take down the fence behind my house. I didn't realize what was happening until it was all over with.
