Is it because of the color of his skin? Last time I checked, a white ball player was caught with human growth hormones. Mark Mcgwire refused to answer questions asked by congress. If there are any suspicions on steroid use, there are white players like Jeff Bagwell and Chipper Jones that bear the same predicament. other players like Adam Dunn also have lounge chairs near their lockers. Kenny Rogers actually hit a camera man and so did Randy Johnson. So, what's the deal?

Good question. Hank Aaron never got the respect he deserved after breaking the record. He actually got death threats.

It seems to me that no matter what country you come from you will always get negative press. If people have valid reasons then yes. I have seen an amazing amount of information about this guy. From stupid questions that he's put on weight since he started baseball. Well word to the wise, we've all put on weight since our teenage years. To some pretty incisive accounts but nothing that actually says he did use steroids. Until I see that then in America, your innocent until proved guilty.

Thank you for your question.

Barry Bonds is perceived as a cheat due to suspicions of steroids. Since 2003, Bonds has been a key figure at the center of the BALCO scandal, and a number of journalists have alleged that Bonds used steroids or other performance-enhancing substances, despite the fact that Bonds has never failed a drug test. To date Bonds has not been charged with any crime in connection with the BALCO incident. Additionally, a recent grand jury retired without issuing a single indictment. In addition, he is chasing after the record for home runs with those allegations hanging over his head.

The other people that you mentioned would have had similar problems. The real problem was that Major League Baseball was so slow in taking action against steroid abuse.

Barry Bonds has had problems with the media as well. On Bonds on Bonds on ESPN, Bonds acknowledged his often rocky relations with the press but cast himself as a victim of critics out to tear him down. He described himself as "mentally and emotionally drained" but insisted he was not going to let anyone "bring me down."

I have attached some links for further references.

Regards

Because, he is a cheater, and he used steriods to break Ruths HR record and he tryed to use them to break Hank Arrons record. You make it seem as if hating Barry Bonds is racial, and its not. All of your examples are great ballplayers, but they didnt try to take all of the greats records by cheating. And besides both Johnson and Rogers both apoligized for hitting the cameras. And McGuire, Bagwell, Jones, and Dunn. They might not want to answer the questions because people will still accuse them of using steriods.

Because Barry Bonds (disregarding the steroids) is one of the most arrogant players in the game. He is rude to the media and always has been. last year when he was out so long, he told the media that they had "won", that they finally had him where they wanted him, they had finally brought him down. He's accused all kinds of reporters of contributing to his demise. He's been rude his whole career, so no one has ever really liked him personally that much even before the steroid allegations.

Because, he now holds a major record, 2nd place on the HR list(and has a possibility of getting first), which all of the ppl u listed weren't able to achieve.

and the rules are more strict about drug enhancements, because the major league players are who high school players look up to and it's affecting teens

Either they hate him because he's catchign up to Hank Aaron or because he's cheating his way up to Hank Aaron by steroind usage, i too hate Bonds because he is cheating his way up. Babe Ruth still remains 2nd best all time homer no matter how many B. Bonds gets, i say the same for Hanks.

Bonds should be fired, suspended. Otherwise what im trying to say is HE SHOULD NOT PLAY BASEBALL ANYMORE! I cannot believe his family is just letting him go through with his career. I say "BARRY'S MOM SPANK HIS A$$ AND MAKE HIM CRY!" Bonds is an embbaresment to baseball, i pitty you Barry Bonds Fans, you people make me sick.

It has nothing to do with his skin, and the steroid thing only makes him more unlikable than he already was. The reason I dislike him is because of his attitude toward everyone who isn't him. He is arrogance personified. He abused his mistress and lied to the Grand Jury. See how easy it is to find things other than his race to hate?

Problem with Barry is that he's a son of *****. Big Mac was great with the media and Bonds comes off as this whiny Prima Dona. Plus he sounds gay.

Bonds is so disliked, because he is a well known figure who has speculation of steroids. The reason they chose to bag on him other than ne1 else, is because he is known throughout the country more than ne other player
