Pure make up is the best for the weather.
It has less make up melt down than the dream matte mousse. I own both, I use both, but, it depends what I'm looking for.
Dream matte mousse I use when it's not terribly humid outside and I need a little extra coverage.
Pure I use when it's humid outside because I have oily & Acne prone skin.
I always lead the foundation with primer, it helps the make up last longer. Just ask a woman at the drug store, she'll be able to recommend an affordable brand. You can pick up a mini thing of smashbox primer for 10 dollars and the amount you'll end up using is minimal. Primer I use on hot days, long days, and long nights!!
I'll cleanse, moisterize, prime, foundation.
both don't need to be followed by powder, however, I will sweep a little translucent powder on my t-zone for some extra oil control. Applying it only to the t-zone will also prevent tons of make up and powder to shift into smile lines or creases.
Pure is fab also because you can apply with your fingers. It's not so great for layering. So if you need to apply more Pure in a specific spot it will cake and create an uneven seam.
If you have spots to control with Pure, first touch up the spot with the matching Pure pencil concealer, with a make up sponge or concealer brush blend in the edges for seamless coverage. Then when applying the foundation over the spot gently dab to then blend the edges in.
Simple isn't it?
Matte Mousse, you can layer. Apply with a sponge and not your fingers. You don't need a lot, just keep the coverage of foundation light and thin. It's not to refinish your face, just to refine and even out the skin tone.
Always aim to do your best skin care regime so that the foundation application is minimal.
What else to share? Not much else. Pure is great make up, I've not had a break out since I started using that as my main daily make up.
Cheers!

Dream Matte mousse would only make the acne look bigger. I use Neutrogena's skin clearing too,but I made it sheerer by squirting half moisturizer in the bottle I used some dove moisturizer and I love the foundation even more now. But your foundation probably melts off cause you don't set it with loose powder. Try some brands out and see how you like them. I like Physicians Formula translucent loose mineral powder, but you could buy Cover Girl's or something else. Green does cover redness, but try using it and then adding a skin colored one over it. Then set it with powder so it doesn't migrate over your skin.

Dream matt mousse looks patchy and shiny after a few hours. When you o go foundation shopping i reccomend looking for a oil free foundation. Any other foundations which aren't oil free just add to the oil on your face making it look shinier. Anyway but oil free foundation and add a translucant powder over to settle it.Try using oil absorber papers and using them before you apply the foundation and through the day.

I've had each of them, and it felt like dream matte mousse left a film on my face. In the summer I barely ever wear foundation , but when I do I use the pure makeup, because it doesn't feel like I have anything caked on, and it does good in this texas humidity I live in

Pure makeup is really watery, I didn't like it. I like L'Oreal True Match, but in the summer I use Neutrogena Skin Clearing Clean Tint, it holds up very well in the heat. L'Oreal Bare Naturale is good also, it's a powder foundation. Bare Minerals isn't shiny, but it's full if mica, so it is sparkly.

Dream matte mouse is great I use under my eyes If I were you I would just use that on the ares that you want to cover up and take a a loose powder and apply after the dream matte mouse. Also a small suggestion. Don't wipe your face off with your hands. Use a napkin and dab the sweat off. I repeat don't use your hands!

well I have some of both, and I think that Pure Makeup is much better and covers wayyyyyy better. But to keep from getting shiny, just keep some tissues in your purse and blot where you're shiny. it shouldnt remove the make-up but it will remove most of the oil, and then you wont be shiny.

Are you thinking of liquid or powder? I have Pure powder, and it's not really good, it's TOO dry, and I end up having to put a moisturizor on over it. I use Cover Girl liquid Clean Makeu-up. Its not too dry and not too oily. It's also cheap- like $3/bottle. It's standing up to our 100* heat. Good luck!

If i was you i would buy bare minerals. Its sort of expensive but if you shop the right way you can get it for a reasonable price. And it isnt shiny and after a while it starts to improve your skin,...not make it worse.. best of luck : )

i use DReam Matte Mousse and i love it. it blends so well into my skin, it's so light and fluffy and it's MOUSSE! and it's available in so many different shades. i use it on the small blemishes i have to cover them up. it works really well. just make sure to pick the correct shade for your skin tone and blend it in real well.
