I would say either House or Grey's Anatomy. They are both dramas but they both have an equal amount of comedy. I would not recommend LOST because let me tell you I have watched the last two seasons and I don't understand a thing! I am LOST half of the time. LITERALLY

Depending on the types of shows you like, for drama type shows, I would recommend CSI Miami or Law and Order. They are very intriguing and you would be surprised how much you can learn.
