We got fooled into purchasing a Chinese bootleg copy and are filing a claim with PayPal. They have requested a 3rd party certificate that would state that the copy we bought is NOT authentic.

so, you need to find someone who deals in Star Trek ( or SF) collectibles, hopefully in your own area.

You can go to:

http://buy.ebay.com/star-trek

pick the category that is closest to what you bought.
Find someone there who is an expert and email them for help.

OR
call auction houses around your area - ask for someone who can authenticate Star Trek stuff.
Such a person can also say that your items are not authentic.

Proving a negative is logically impossible. You could get an opinion, but they can't force you to prove a negative. That is ridiculous.
