I had a horrible time in Liverpool when I visited. My bag was stolen and even the police were awful. But....it is a fabulous accent. None like it!

this is not about liverpool...but I was in a place called brewood --near coventry --on a canal boat and we stopped in at a local pub for a beer..hot summer day/rain shower and all....and it was so embarrassing because we couldn't understand what anyone was saying to us and they couldn't understand us....I mean hardly at all...we all finally gave up on conversation and took to our beers seriously......we're west coast canadian...so I guess to british people we have an accent as well...I have travelled over much of the uk but never been in a situation like that before or after.

Being from Liverpool...I love it personally...and the people are generally very nice. We've been stereotyped in the past but I think that's unfair now.
I'm at Uni, got a few friends from other places and they really love it here. I've had a few girls who loved my deep voice with scouse accent.
Edit: Seems like some people still like to stereotype us. Ah well, to be expected I guess.

Absolutely lovely, down to earth, caring people, but their accent is awful! Not as bad as the scottish accent though!!

I think all people from liver pool are very nice ad love there accent , my uncle is from there and he has to be the most respectful man I have ever met so I have nothing negative about them.

I think there scum, liverpool is the second biggest open prison in the UL after manchester. never trust a scouse, or u will be left with nothing. Thats what I think and I am intitled to it. if u don't like the answer don't ask the question.

Bunch of scallys with the worst accent in the world bar about 3. They all think they are great just because they come from the 'Pool. Yeah that's sound mate, really sound, er lend us a fiver till my giro arrives next week, yeah sound, sound.

Accent can be a bit off-putting, because of the this they seem to have an inferiority complex.

Depends...cheeky, funny...can be very appealing, the accent, with the right operator so to speak. Then again, generalisations are silly, people are all different in any place.
