""When you talk about Brazilian soccer, there's really nothing to change. The Brazil team won five world titles because it imposed its offensive and highly technical soccer. That's the way the team will continue to play."- Dunga the new Brasilian coach.

here is my take : Dunga has been a fabolous player for Brasil and even though he doesn't have any coaching experience, I think with his emphasis on Displine and Traditional Brasilian style of football, he can do what Parreira couldn't do. I have faith in him.

and I expect comments from Brasilian fans who know about Dunga. If you don't support Brasil and don't know anything about Dunga, please stay out of this conversation.

Crazy_One: Brasil is the most overrated team in the world ? May be you don't know anything about football and that is why your questions are all about "how sexy or cute a player is ." I think Yahoo should open a new section on Football where people can discuss about a footballer's looks and you can keep posting your questions there. Brasil are the 5 time champions and the best team in the world. So think twice before commenting anything about Brasil.

Juventiana....Italy is a good team and I like Canavaro and Pirlo. Listen, this question is meant to discuss Brasil and Dunga. I don't know why you are in this conversation if you don't have anything to say other than supporting the Crazy_One.. This is just dumb.

Okay Rumman, here's one Brasileira's point of view. I know and love Dunga and have always held him in high esteem. However, I disagree with his statement that "there's really nothing to change" with our football. I think we do require some change, most of which has been brought up by previous responders (building the ability to work cohesively, etc.).

I know Brazilian players at times can get cocky. We usually have a tendency to win when people least expect it of us b/c that's when we are least cocky :)

We are far from our reign being over though and we are sure as hell not overrated. People need to stop hatin'.

Com Brasileiro não há quem possa!

I dont know anything about Dunga but I love Brazilian football, and it is at its best when it is not messed with. Ever been to Rio and seen the kids playin with whatever they can wherever they can, just because they love to play. Thats how it should be, except with older people, and with a ball, on a field. All the coach needs to do is orchestrate the music of Samba.

Addition: Honestly you people need jobs and lives...seriously. Juventina...I am still laughing..."If you dont stop it, your going to get a violation notice from yahoo." OH NO...WHAT WILL I DO... Seriously...WHY ON EARTH WOULD YOU TAKE ANY INSULTS SERIOUSLY, ITS THE F*CKING INTERNET...Leave your keyboard and screen and go do something with 3-Demensional people...honestly...you guys have way too much time on your hands...I am going to go play some football, lata.

Dunga's comments are correct, but do not address the primary problem with Brazil. Their main problem was desire. They did not play serious warm-up games before the tournament, and many of their training sessions were open to the public, and were more of a show that a preperation to play the best teams in the world.

I honestly think that many of the Brazilian players are getting to old to play soccer, what Dunga needs to do is concentrate on bringing younger talented players...I think Kaka is a good example of a young and talented player, to me he's an excellent player and will go very far with his team.

yeah Brazil has been successful when it comes to the world cup but dont get caught up on the past to much.. i think you should consider how they played this year becuase honestly thier performance let down thier 'great' reputation.. look at how they played against Croatia! Shocker! this isnt an attack so dont take it the wrong way but just understand that you cant just pick out one country out of the whole world and say that they are the best..esp when your just considering the past and not how they have been going to-date.. every country has had thier highs and lows but there are alot that are equally just as good so stop being a bad sport!

Brazil is overrated, and that's a fact, they have many selfish players on their team an now that Ronaldo has become overweight, they can never regain the momentum they once had.

Sounds like a cop-out. They didn't win the world cup - something must be wrong

i agree with crazy_one and juventina. brazil sucked *** this year, not because of their coach, but because of their selfish players. no one wanted to pass the ball besides ronaldinho and since he was always double-teamed he wasnt effective.
