My friends are a bunch of lemmings.

If my friends had jumped off of a bridge purposely and lived, then I would be very angry and concerned for them and advise them that for their safety not to do such horrible and stupid things because I care so much for them.
If my friends had jumped off of a bridge and died, I would obviously become very depressed because I only have two friends and they both mean the world to me.

I'd ask them to please leave me their wallets before they do it, beg them to reconsider, then call the ambulance.
Unless they're jumping off a bridge into a slow flowing deep river, in which case I'd get naked and jump in after them for a swim.

1. I don't have any friends
2. If I was a real friend, I wouldn't let them
3. If they were real friends, they wouldn't get me in the situation where I might do it, too
