* So,that well known word,that it is not politicaly correct to pronounce,or even post by any means possible. It is tabu...why is it I want to ask you,it is an apelative,right?
It has a co-notation,or a historical meaning,what are the so-shamed origins of this word?

Cause it seems dust has covered all this and a simple word might be pronounced with a certain tonality to instigate,and so you can see smoke,and there must be fire.

To bad some words are used in such contexts to denaturate and somehow vulgarise.

In my language it is the colour black - 'negru' and a bad way to say someone it is black is to call them a crow...even that is wrong since there are white crows...

*** gardly means to act very stubbornly. don't know if it existed before they were brought here or not but I assume it was and was applied to them in a derogatory manner.

Etymology
The word ***** stems from the Latin word Niger, meaning black. In English, ***** or neger became negar and finally ******, most likely under influence of French nègre. Well, it was derived from the French word for "black," and really, it is a shame that we cannot discuss it at all. But the Yahoo censor will substitute asterisks. Now wait: here is an experiment. I will put it in quote marks, and hit preview, and see what I get. The taboo word we are discussing is "******."

Yeah, the censor caught it anyway. But I do not think it will blank out "honky" or "chink" or "wop" or "greaser" or any of the other really crude words to represent a particular racial or ethnic group. I do wonder why.

I think it is just the fact that in justa bout every language I have seen Negroe and anything close to it means black so that is probably why they started using the word. I really dont care about the word it doesnt hurt me and it doesnt mean much to me and I use it but I use it about everyone.

i have seen, and heard, white people refer to other white people as "white trash"...

i suppose, each and every ethnic background has a derogatory name for "its own"... its when another ethnic background speaks it to offend someone i think is the problem...
