do lizards shed thier skin?

i have a small lizard it looks like its shedding did it come from it or something.

i also got it on vacay im in tennessee

hahahahah it keeps sitting in its food

for some reson only a piece shedded the piece looks like it was from the pat where thier tails begin

yes. molting or shedding is what nearly all reptiles do. as they age, skin becomes too tight and need to shed it in order to make way for the new skin.

Yes some lizards shed their skins in pieces. Call the pet shop you bought it from and ask if that's normal for the breed to be sure.

yes they do. When they grow they shed, just let the skin come off naturally don,t pull on it causeit hurts them. If you put lizard them in warm water you might be able to take some skin off.

Yes , as they grow they shed their skin just like snakes. Once or twice a year depending on how well it eats is normal. If you handle it often, it is more sensitive just after it sheds so it will not like being held.

Are there any other symptoms? I'm gonna assume he is otherwise healthy and that he has appropriate heat and light sources, is your UVA bulb getting old (1 year is too old,even if it is still glowing). Is he eating properly? losing weight? skin hanging off? If he seems healthy then he just might be getting ready to shed. Hope this helps

lizard shed their skin every 2 month if i not mistake...place ur lizard under the hot sun so it shed easily
