People in Austin seem very sure they will repeat, I think they might win lots of games but I'm not so sure they can win a back to back championship.

They'll finish 6th in the final rankings, behind Notre Dame, Miami, Michigan, Florida, and USC

The Longhorns are very deep and have an excellent program top to bottom. Against the odds of repeating, they will anyway.

I tend to agree with many of the posters here in that they will be good, but not national champs again. Vince Young carried that team on his back. They will be starting out with a new QB plus they lost one their starting backs. Look for Oklahoma to re-emerge as the Big Twelve power. You don't have a team with Adrian Peterson and stay down for long.

The Longhorns will not repeat this year...for one reason no more vince young.....young was that one thing mack brown needed to finally get over the hump now with vince gone it'll go back to how it used to be one or two loss seasons.

i predict they will lose to the penn state nittany lions in the championship game. Although vince is gone, they are still pretty strong and capable of reaching the ship. i ssay penn state becuase of reigning bednarik trophy winner #31 Paul Posluszny. and also linebacker sean lee.
