Both. I have a gold star at the very top of the tree and several angels surrounding it on the next lower level of branches.

Haven't put up a tree at all the past few years - had enough of the trees with the huge one they plant by my desk at the office and by decorating one for the community celebration, plus I feel way too guilty killing a tree. May get a fake one this year but not sure yet. When I do put one up, it's a star because I love stars, moons, etc.

We've always had the same angel on the top of our tree, but I am thinking of opting for a stained glass star from now on.

I say you put an angel on top and have stars all over the tree. Or, you can sew/paint a star on her robes. see?
