1.You have to be able to drink beer
2. watch football
3. know less than immigrants about the history of your own country
4. be able to watch reality tv
5. drive any car no matter how crappy it is as long as it is a domestic
6. voted for Bush as president not once, but twice
7. able to believe everything the media says
8. able to say racing isn't racing unless it goes in a circle or a straight line
9. able to believe that nothing is their country's fault. The other countries made us attack them.
10. unable to know what the real concept of America stood for when it was first concieved.


What has America become.




I found this in a blog a while back. I don't remember the page. I lost the link when I cleared my browser history. The page was about how America has declined.

What do you think of this? Do you think that it is right? Is the American majority getting that bad and ignorant as it states?

I disagree with everything listed

1) German consume lots of beer as well as other nations
2) Soccer is called football in other countries
3) what? so immigrants from other countries don't know about their own country?

I think it is a generalization and like all generalizations it only fits a small amount of society and then I'm sure not all ten would apply at any one time.

The reason we are seen as ignorant is because the only popular image that is seen of us beyond our borders is political. If all you ever saw of America was how politicians acted would you have a jaded view of America?

We all need to remember the past because the past repeats itself, to know that Ben Franklyn is not only on the hundred doller bill but he was the one who started the library system and the bifocals eye glasses,the post office just to name a few and I remember . we forget a lot of our history that's why I watch the history channel and read history books.we all need to remember.
