Muslims in Metropolitan Detroit are very active. The court case was started in 2004 by a mosque from Hamtramck, Michigan (another suburb of Detroit) to allow the "azan" (call to pray) to be broadcast 5 times each day from 6 am to 10 pm. The call to prayer states, "Allah is great…Mohammed is Allah's prophet…come to prayer. There is no god but Allah."
Dearborn mosques also broadcast the call to prayer and have had disputes, but there has not been a court case over it filed by a mosque in Dearborn.
There have been court cases to allow children to have federally funded halal lunches and to have a room set aside for Friday prayers.
This is a partial list of the mosques in metro Detroit.

I received a response to what I said about many Muslim business owners in Metro Detroit sending money to help the terrorist organizations. So I am adding this to my posts....
In the Qur'an the jihad fee sybil Allah is incumbent upon all Muslims. Fighting with goods (property) is permissible if one cannot fight with his life. Sitting at home (quood) is not.
http://www.quranbrowser.org
Not equal are those believers who sit (at home) and receive no hurt, and those who strive and fight in the cause of God with their goods and their persons. God hath granted a grade higher to those who strive and fight with their goods and persons than to those who sit (at home). Unto all (in Faith) Hath God promised good: But those who strive and fight Hath He distinguished above those who sit (at home) by a special reward, (Yusuf Ali trans.)

It just goes to show that Christians are held to an entirely different standard than any other religion. I'll bet the politicians are afraid to tell the mosques to turn the volume down. I love the sounds of church bells ringing. Shame on the people who run Dearborn's government.

Because "seperation of church and state" has become "Opposition of state to church."

Oh, didn't you hear. Christianity is not politcally correct anymore. You don't want to offend anyone do you? It makes me sick!
