The first answer regarding corporations doesn't really apply. We're not talking about business persay - we're talking about a political coalition of nations with input only from leaders of those nations who are members - and remember, these are issues we as voters don't even get a chance to decide on, the representatives we have at the UN don't ask for our opinion like in national issues. The only time we get to decide on that is AFTER the fact to vote them out of office. My personal opinion to add in? No taxation without representation. More reasons from y'all?

For what reason? The programs and policies of the UN are paid for by the member nations (mostly the US). Where do you think that money comes from? It comes from our taxes. So we already pay a global tax. It's just part of our national tax.

No sovereignty - no tax

If the U.N. ever gains sovereignty, and gains control of the world, then I'll pay happily.

Current Nationalism is a joke.

If corporations enjoy the benefits of being global entities, then they should expect to contribute to global endeavors.
