It's a common phenomena- blacks who do NOT promote the Democratic platform are no longer black...or they are "back on de plantation" as Julian Bond, former pres of NAACP, has said...

Unfortunately Condoleeza doesnt really relate well with the majority of African Americans.
By Many shes seen as aloof and out of touch.
More into the politics for the sake of it and her self than her community.
It is even reflected in how you have never seen her with an African American Man. Or
With a man in general for that matter
But definitely if she were to find an african american suitor it would soften her feel to the af am community.
All is all condoleeza is seen more as a person in her own rank than any type of connetion with the people. Its omething a lot of african american celebrities and higher up suffer from.
Ultimately at some point they have to buy into "the Life"
over community.
They have to keep their money and status and to do that takes believing in the system and abiding by its rules and that means that you leave some people and some things behind.
unfortunately- and in condies case the community is one of those things.
Hope this make a lil sense.!

Condoleeza Rice is loved by the black community. But Rice doesn't seem to embrace the black community. I've never ever seen or heard her of support ting African Americans in any way i could be wrong.I've seen her on Oprah but she just a like a yes women.I really don't know what you mean by black enough. Isn't her skin color enough. But I like her as African American women. She has work hard to get to where she is today.African Americans where Republicans long ago before democrats I Just believe that we should start supporting our people that is positive not negative.

Condoleeza Rice is the materialization of what Civil Rights activists, feminists and social watchdogs for decades have fought. you chuffed now? sure, 50 years in the past, no one ought to have imagined someone of her gender or epidermis coloration as Secretary of State. and she, like everyone else, has the freedom to verify on what social gathering she ought to be a member of. the reason Democrats do compared to her is because she is area of the Bush administration, and we do not take care of President Bush. it really is the only reason. i do not care if she appears like Alexander Haig; we may experience an identical way then, too. once you've a situation with the now no longer touting Secretary of State's Rice achievements, I recommend you contact NOW, as i'm optimistic they don't actively video reveal solutions.

It doesn't matter what her "affiliation." She SEEMS as "white" as the bleached grain for which her surname stands.... she FEELS as though her connectedness with the plight of the black community, is removed and quite distant from today's black experience. It may be an unfair assessment, but it is nevertheless, the way things are.
Moreover, blacks in the Republican party may be seen as "Uncle Toms," which, again, may be far from reality... but our human perceptions and the penchant for making gross sweeping generalizations never cease to amaze. Whatever, I think that Oprah holds more sway with blacks & whites alike than any of the politicians at Capitol Hill or the White House.

I don't know if she is ignored in the black community or not , but that poor woman-i would not want to have her job right now-could you imagine the pressure? I have seen some black comics put her in their routines-you know making fun of her-but you know comics make fun of alot of political figures. I work with many young black women and we have magazines like "jet" laying around and i look at them alot and i don't think i have ever seen her featured in any articles? Yeah, it would be a shame if they do ignore her because she seems like an amazing person.

Ooh, no one wants to touch this one...
Well I'm not the black community but I have visited :-) She should be a role model, in spite of being a stupid republican, for her accomplishments alone. But, black people who get attention in the US are entertainers of various types. That's in part the fault of the black community for not demanding more from it's own tools for promotion (radio, tv, whatever) and in part the fault of the largely whitey's who own the networks and hand-pick the stupid stuff, thus perpetuating oppression. But what do I know.
What is this stupid keep it real business? You're part of your own problem if you think the hood is "real" black. Geez.

A role model... for what... ignoring issues, sucking up to whoever will give her a job? Yeah it's great that she made it as far as she has but she isn't useing her power to help people, just futher her bosses agenda. People don't see her as a strong person they see her as a woman who is doing her bosses work, and they don't agree with it. It doesn't matter what her political belifs are, it is the way she acts, she acts like it is only her and the people who she works for or with are the only people that matter.

Condi is a stupid, self-centered b&%(h. Why should the black community support her when she is so firmly a part of the racist party? She is definitely NOT a role model. She came from nothing, pulled herself up, and has never done a damn thing to help the family/community where she came from. Once again, she is NOT a role model.

For the same reason women's rights groups ignored Bill Clinton's womanizing but tried to destroy Clarence Thomas. The left wing controls 99 percent of the media.
