I'm creating a beautiful relaxation room with hammocks, music, wall hangings, murals etc... would appreciate any unique ideas to make this sancutary a heavenly place to be. Thanks.

Paint the ceiling and walls very light blue, with wispy clouds (make them look real - not those fake ones that so many people paint on the wall). Have any lighting hidden behind the bases of real trees (ficus are good ones to have as they handle being indoors well, or any other dwarf tree suited for indoors) or you could use fake trees if you must (the air quality is better with real ones though) and the lighting should shine upward as a background feeling, as you want it to be subtle and positioned as accents to the things in the room. You could paint small birds in a few places as well, or have some realistic ones positioned on branches - and even a nest with tiny wooden realistically painted eggs! In one corner have some flowering plants with a fountain or small contained waterfall included among the plants - a few small fish could be happily swimming in a tiny pond under that waterfall if you want (the waterfall would be part of a filter system that is hidden behind plants and fake rocks). Besides music, you could occasionally just have forest sounds with birds and rustling breezes on the CD. A small fan positioned behind the trees set on low would stir the breezes within your sanctuary just enough to make it feel like you were outside. For night time, if you feel like laying in a hammock just to relax and would love to look at athe night time sky, get a bottle of glow in the dark nail polish and dab it on the ceiling and walls after you have painted them (and the paint is of course dry). Make it as much like the real night time sky as possible, with tiny splotches of stars here and there, plus cut a small circle out of cardboard to use as a stencil - about 4 - 6 inches in diameter - and dab that polish to make the full moon - or do a crescent shape if you prefer. (this looks awesome if you leave the lights on for a bit and then when you go in turn off the lights and lay under the night sky - I did it in both of my children's rooms when they were small and they loved it, then I did it to our bedroom as well. It really is a cool feeling to occasionally look at the "stars" while falling asleep) Get a super soft rug as well, one that looks like lots of flowers or grass - it can be an area rug if you feel like it. Put a memory foam cushion cut to fit under it for an extra cushy feel. If you have someone handy with things, they could make you a cabinet shaped like a tree with a "trunk" that swings open to reveal shelves or to hide the stereo equipment, with branches stretching out from one corner suspended from the ceiling (the cords hidden by leaves if artfully done). That would be an awesome touch. That is all I could think of for now, more later to be added if I come up with more. Best wishes and happy decorating!

A nice bf to listen to the music, enjoy the wall hangings and murals and make sweet love on the hammocks, although it is a bit awkward to do so.

use different textures that you like to feel- pillows- floor covering- throws and bedspread - use clean wood branches curtains draped-lighted pictures on the wall- flowers of tropical type- hanging shelves and a wipe off board for notes..have someone draw a mural on your ceiling to promote a well feeling- use mirrors to reflect a decorating item- use long tall paper lights?!

Find some caterpillars and provide a good place for them to become a cocoon and watch them burst forth in time. Get some special food and plants they like and in general provide a corner in your room for them. Find a nector feeder, etc. Dreamy! And, don't forget to have a special aroma essence in your room.
