I think an effective way to lose weight is by cleansing. Cleansing refreshes the body and you would gain energy. Weight loss is a great side benefit of a health and wellness program that involves cleansing. Plus, it's safe and weight comes off fast (if you stick to the program).

The best way to lose weight in a month is also the best way to lose weight overall. Eat less and exercise more. Depending on your size, it is usually not a good idea to eat less than 1200 calories a day, as your body will stress out and think you are starving. You will feel lethargic and your metabolism will slow. But if you are average size or heavier, you can get down to between 1200 - 1500 calories a day, and exercise as much as you can.

It over all depends on if you burn more than you consume (calories), you will lose weight. Another good deal is to rack up on those high fiber foods. They will keep you from feeling hungry, and they don't count against your waistline (you can't digest them, so you don't absorb them as calories.)

The best diets that work are the ones that teach good lifestyle changes like weight watchers (I lost 16 pounds in a month) or Jenny Craig. They both just teach you how to eat better. Or just try to get 35 grams of fiber a day. If you do that, you'll be so full on "good" foods that you won't be able to eat all that bad stuff.

i dont know if you drink any water, but i lost about 12 lbs, drinking it. i did have my coffee and 1 bottle of pop (a week) and i found that as long as i drank water thru-out the day, i did keep losing the weight. it will also help keep any weight off that you do lose. the old tried and true method (counting calories) does work--just don't eliminate your favorites. one day a week should keep you on track as long as you don't over indulge. i have battled being over weight for years and finally just lowered the amoungt i ate and gave my self a treat once a week, in a month i had lost a total of twenty lbs. good luck!

pick up a 5 or 10 pound weight at the gym and visualize that weight coming off holding the weight in your hands helps bring home just how heavy even 5 pounds of extra fat can be

Exercise like hell. Eat small amts. or not eat at all. I only eat one meal a day. Maybe an apple or other fruit in the evening if 'm hungry or feel like indulging myself. But mostly i fast w/ c is good for your soul anyway. I already lost 30 lbs so far put on by quitting smoking ang getting old. when one's metabolic rate slows down. Stick to salads mostly. Size doesn't matter but your shape. and how you feel about yourself.

do not drink soda (or pop)... by cutting out this regular sugar intake you'll automatically loose 10-20 pounds in a few weeks...

also, do not eat ANY fast food... cut out ALL fried foods..
eat more fish and chicken... rice and beans.. fresh veggies an fruit..

and most importantly... exercise a little each day.. walk for 30 minutes if you're out of shape.. if you're in shape, run for 30 minutes each day
